Job description

BASO Inc., a leader in the lighting manufacturing industry is seeking an AutoCAD Technician to support our R&D department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and modifying drawings per specifications and customer requirements. They will work closely with Customer Service and Mechanical Engineering to ensure the product is built according to the shop drawings.

Primary Responsibilities

· Using CAD, prepares layout models of lighting fixtures and systems for field personnel use.

· Assists in the design and detailing of forming systems.

· Reviews and analyzes the project documents and identifies drawing and specification conflict, insufficient information, and missing dimensions while contributing ideas to enhance internal productivity and cost-efficiency.

· Attends project meetings to resolve technical coordination issues in conjunction with Aftersales initiatives.

· Ensures duplication and delivery of up-to-date drawings and instructions to the job site.

· Records, updates, and maintains RFI and drawing logs.

· Ensures efficient inventory control and storage of shop drawings and contract documents.

· Able to multitask and meet deadlines

Minimum Qualifications

· 2 years of completed coursework or an equivalent combination of training and/or work experience reading structural drawings and performing computer-aided design

· Proficiency in AutoCAD

· Beginner/Intermediate skills in Revit

· Advanced technical and analytical skills

· Strong mathematical and visualization skills

· Advanced PC skills, specifically in a MS Office environment, including collecting, analyzing data in Excel and creating documents incl. preparing correspondence in Outlook and Word

Preferred Experience:

· Background in site development is desirable

· Previous customer service experience

The ideal candidate will need to pass a required background check and drug test.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
