Description
JOB PURPOSE OR MISSION: Collects and prepares cost data, analyses fiscal accounting and related systems, regulatory submissions, preparation of and presentations for budget and reimbursement and financial feasibility studies.

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

JOB FUNCTIONS

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include, but are not limited to:

1. Assists with assigned financial projects:

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

•Performs and/or coordinates the design, documentation, and implementation of various integrated systems and applications for periodic and ad hoc financial reporting, utilizing complex electronic financial information from UNM systems and databases on a daily basis.
•Collaborates with and coordinates all components of the organization to ensure consistent reporting and adherence to federal and state financial reporting regulations and guidelines, and conformity with fiscal policies and procedures at all times.
•Analyzes, designs, documents, and implements internal financial reporting systems and procedures as needed.

2. Assists with analysis:

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

? Compiles and analyzes financial information from all components of the organizational
entities, and develops integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and
presentations as requested.
? Coordinates, compiles an analyzes annual financial statements for the organization and its
component units, utilizing complex spreadsheet and database applications as requested.
? Provides leadership and coordination to various technical personnel engaged in specified
project activities, as appropriate.

3. Development of capital and operating budgets:

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

•Coordination of system budget process and preparation of budget review packages for senior management and the Board of Directors within established timeframes.
•Designs, coordinates, and implements training programs for personnel within the organization and its components regarding the nature and application of accounting, budgeting, and business policies and procedures when appropriate.

4. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Entry level to three years of experience in a financial setting. Experience in healthcare is preferred.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree within a business or finance-related field, including finance, accounting, and business analytics, required. Master's degree preferred.

SPECIAL SKILL, LICENSE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Advanced Excel; SQL; Access; Understanding of tables and database structures
