Baxter Senior Living, an established senior living company in Anchorage's u-med district, is looking for an experienced office manager /bookkeeper to join our team. Candidates must have experience in accounting or other financial-related profession like Quickbooks, Sage or Xero.
Applicants will interact regularly with employees and various vendors so having clear communication skills is a must.
Our job requires clerical skills necessary for the accurate and efficient administration of the business. Qualified candidates must also have strong customer service and independent problem-solving skills.
The job duties below are a part of this position, but will not be limited to, the following:
-Under the direction of the Supervisor, maintain employee files at all times, assist with new employee onboarding and paperwork completion.
- Fill in as front desk receptionist as needed.
- Create and follow up with monthly billing to vendors. - Maintain and create required deposit slips - Contact vendors that may be delinquent - Manage accounts payable on a monthly basis, verify statements, and maintain check registry - Dispense and manage petty cash account and records. - Manage payroll lists and staff files accurately, complete payroll preparation. - Explain company medical / dental / retirement benefits as applicable.
