Position: Senior Accountant
Job Type: Full-time, Exempt
Location: Brentwood, TN (Work From Home 2-3 days/week)
Responsibilities:
- Review and approve expense reports company-wide
- Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries
- Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and entering transactions
- Maintain general ledger
- Prepare, analyze, and present balance sheets and profit & loss statements monthly
- Prepare annual budgets for the entire company and by department
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes
- Manage vendor information, including W9s and Certificates of Insurance
- Manage company cash flow
- Oversee sales tax filings using third-party software
- Oversee payroll process
- Provide input into company goal-setting processes
- Participate in leadership discussions and meetings
- Train team members on accounting-related responsibilities
- Protect organizational value by maintaining confidentiality
- Complete external audits and provide accurate information to auditors
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Implement standards and procedures to enhance internal controls and improve accounting processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum of 4 years of financial accounting experience
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software
- In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
- Solid knowledge of accounting regulations
- Strong analytical skills
- Self-driven with accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent time-management abilities
- Task-oriented with confidentiality
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Willingness to pursue certifications and additional training
