The Director, Procurement Program Management will provide strategic program management leadership to partner with Healthcare Systems and Technologies (HST) Global Business Segment leaders as the point of contact for all matters regarding supplier participation in the global business. Responsible for ensuring the Segment are positioned to be a source of competitive advantage, capable of delivering long-term performance needed by its businesses.

Key Duties:

  • Leads the strategic planning processes/programs/suppliers related to Procurement for HST. Ensures the best use of organization resources and Suppliers in defining and planning goals, objectives and programs to achieve the strategic plan and to achieve growth and profitability.
  • Develops Procurement strategies consistent with the global business unit strategies to ensure ability to deliver the planned business results on key programs and priorities
  • Strategic partner, ombudsman and point of contact for HST leader(s) for all matters related to Procurement. Conducts ongoing assessments to identify bottlenecks related to suppliers and develops mitigating strategies.
  • Leads a team of procurement professionals focused on new product introduction aligned to HST per and post launch
  • Works closely with ISC cross-functional leadership to ensure alignment and progress on all short and long-term supplier needs and priorities to support the HST
  • Interfaces with the Procurement organization Senior leadership to gather suppliers’ development and production progress information, assess against priorities and align with HST on planning
  • Identify cost, quality, and delivery performance wins and risks for each product line– both before and after New Product launch
  • Gather key insights and develop reporting on supply base progress. Create reporting systems for consolidating supplier performance reporting data per BU and product line.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree; MBA desirable. CPM preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant business and leadership experience in Procurement or Supply Chain discipline.
  • High level technical aptitude. Engineering, Electronic or other Technical training.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify supplier performance trends, risks, and repair actions
  • Ability to think strategically and globally.
  • Ability to manage diverse stakeholder interests and expectations. 
  • Deep knowledge of the company's procurement operations and processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills to partner and influence executive level stakeholders: HST leaders, VP Procurement
  • Creative skills to develop appropriate measurement systems of supplier pre- and post-production performance for each company product line and BU
  • Risk management skill set required to drive innovative solutions and problem solving analysis and resolution.
  • Seasoned negotiator with knowledge of cost tools such as material breakdown, benchmarking, value analysis, value engineering, complex RFQ’s and innovative purchasing tools.
  • Strong project management skills to drive projects to closure. 
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis, problem solving, continuous improvement, corrective and preventative action, product quality assurance systems and supplier performance development and evaluation is helpful.
  • Travel of 25-40% including global travel.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a regulated and highly technical environment preferred, such as experience in the Automotive, Aerospace, OEM, and/or Medical Device industries.
