Your role at Baxter!

This role will manage the portfolio of top global quality initiatives and associated governance mechanisms, the prioritization of initiatives and the allocation of investments across the portfolio to achieve the organization's strategic vision.

What you will be doing

  • Manage the global Quality portfolio of large sophisticated programs, associated operating mechanisms, prioritisation, and central budget, including prioritization, monitoring, and reporting of performance and risks
  • Assist in the development of annual priorities, goals, and objectives for Quality and supervise progress
  • Lead all aspects of interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of all adherences made relative a to product development timelines, delivery, quality and the required business metrics.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of new processes, procedures, and/or systems to improve organizational efficiencies and cost controls. Communicate complex topics to stakeholders through effective storytelling and content creation at times with strict deadlines
  • Manage third party suppliers & partners in order to ensure execution of program/project plans.
  • Manage other ad hoc special projects as they arise
  • Establish project and program management tools, templates, best practices and launch Quality PM Community of Practice
  • Prepare and presents written and oral reports and other presentations (ie executive reporting) to internal and external audiences. Adjusts presentation style and content to suit the audience.

What do you bring:

  • BS in business administration, finance, communications, or a similar degree
  • Well-versed in Project Management methodologies and tools
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, R&D or related field in the medical products industry
  • Minimum 3 years experience in developing and managing budgets, doing financial projections, and tracking and assessing program costs.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing strategic partnerships and collaborations within the quality, manufacturing, or medical products industry
  • Ability to lead major global programs delivering agreed upon scope on time and on budget. Experience leading sophisticated technical projects with aggressive schedules
  • Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) or Project Management Professional (PIM) certification a plus
  • Scrum Master Certification a plus
  • Proficient in all aspects of portfolio and project management with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills. Appropriately use data to make or recommend business decisions. Capable of recommending innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, including diplomacy to negotiate conflicting priorities
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Role model of leadership competencies across multiple regions and groups

We understand compensation is a meaningful factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000 - $143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
