Director - Women and Children's Services Summary :

  • Develops, executes, and monitors the comprehensive service line strategic plan, aligning it with BayCare Health System’s strategic plan, mission, vision, and values.
  • Oversees all aspects of the service lines including, but not limited to: strategy, business development and growth, programmatic development and placement, quality and care transformation, operational effectiveness, revenue and expense management, service line capital planning, support service coordination, relevant physician needs planning, recruitment, retention, and alignment, performance reporting, and continuous performance improvement.
  • In dyadic partnership with the Service Line Medical Directors, the Director collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based patient care and outcomes, which requires an in-depth knowledge of service line specific health services.
  • Oversees (either directly or matrixed) relevant clinical areas across the continuum of care and in partnership with Medical Directors, establishes and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, referring providers, community organizations, system leadership, and professional associations, to promote the service lines and foster collaboration.
  • In dyadic partnership, leads SL’s care transformation efforts focused on reimagining care, reducing clinical variation, and unsupported clinical services utilization, including the creation and implementation of relevant clinical pathways.
  • Manages service-line subcommittees, subgroups, collaboratives and steering committee meetings and support interdisciplinary teams and system leadership to ensure operational success.
  • Participates in regulatory visits and stays abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in care to ensure the service lines remain at the forefront of medicine.
  • The Director collaborates with the marketing and communications team to develop and implement effective marketing strategies, community outreach initiatives, and patient education programs to raise awareness of the service lines.
  • Finally, the Director drives operational and financial performance, monitors key performance indicators, and implements strategies to maximize revenue, control costs, and achieve service line growth targets.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Requires 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare administration, with a focus on service line or relevant specialty
  • In-depth knowledge of service line operations
  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in service line specific care.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing multidisciplinary teams and driving operational and financial performance.
  • Excellent strategic planning, financial management, and business development skills.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and collaboration abilities to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams to deliver exceptional patient care and achieve performance targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and continuous learning.

Education :

  • Required - Bachelors - Healthcare Administration; Or - Bachelors - Related Field
