Inventory & Logistics Specialist

Tucson, AZ

Purpose :

This position will report to the Nursery Operation Lead and will manage seed inventory and logistics, providing leadership, training, and consultation.

This individual will manage inventories and logistics

across workflows and site operations.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for inventory and logistics of all products at the site;
• Guide, mentor, train, and coach site personnel to ensure overall compliance with quality, compliance, and safety programs;
• Ensure the freedom of operation of the sites in the region by compliance with legislation and corporate requirement;
• Actively participates and supports problem-solving and continuous improvement projects initiated through various methods, including 5S, teamwork, visual management, focused improvement, gap analysis, and
• facilitating implementation;
• Collaborate cross-site and with multi-disciplinary groups, such as HSE Specialists, Site Leadership and Operations Guides, & Team Members, to establish consistent and appropriate procedures to reduce risks and comply with regulations;
• Communicate with all site personnel on shipping, inventory, and waste related items;
• Acquire and maintain training needed to accurately manage and sign waste manifests and oversee seed waste shipments;
• Maintain accurate records for all inventory and seed waste onsite, including oversight of regular inspections;
• Maximize the inventory management process to minimize operational time;
• Properly communicates findings to necessary stakeholders.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following :

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree;
• Experience with inventory management software and tracking systems along with computer proficiencies, including Microsoft Office Suite;
• Outstanding leadership & communication skills, including the capability to clearly present information to influence others through oral or written means;
• Demonstrated decision-making ability & problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 3 years of experience performing, including but not limited to, the listed duties in the requisition.
