Central Sterile Tech - Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, MD
Position: Central Sterile Tech
Location: Holy Cross Hospital, 1500 Forest Glen Rd, Silver Spring, MD
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Pay: 36-38 /hr
About the Role:
Join the dynamic team at Holy Cross Hospital’s busy surgery department as a Central Sterile Tech. You will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of sterile processing and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform sterilization, cleaning, and packaging of medical instruments and supplies.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as autoclaves and sterilizers.
- Ensure compliance with infection control practices and protocols.
- Collaborate with surgical staff to ensure timely and accurate instrument availability.
Requirements:
- Certification with HSPA or CBSPD (certification number required).
- Minimum years of experience working in a hospital setting.
- Active CRCST and BLS certifications.
- COVID-19 vaccination card required; medical exemptions accepted.
- Must be able to work the designated shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM.
