Baylor Careers is Hiring a Director of Women's Programs Near Waco, TX

What We're Looking For

This position will support the mission of Baylor University by providing meaningful engagement and information to all Baylor women in coordination with campus partners to establish firm foundational connection to the University. The program will serve women as a connection to Baylor and will work to develop local community groups to support the university through volunteer service and philanthropy.

A bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience are required. A master's degree and seven years of experience are preferred.

A valid Texas Driver License with a clear driving record of at least two years is required. 

Must be able to travel outside of the state of Texas. 

Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis. 

What You Will Do

Serve as primary communication resource for women:

  • Possess positive, strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Have innate ability to know what is important to communicate to women as well as an ability to translate it into a style that resonates well with this population. Strong social and public speaking skills are extremely important.
  • Demonstrate passion to build trust and commitment in women for the Baylor Family. 
  • Continue and enlarge a system of volunteer service and philanthropy that supports the institution by engaging women to help increase student retention in addition to providing value after graduation. 
  • In coordination with campus partners, produce and deliver resources in a timely manner using a variety of tools.

Grow Women's Programs and increase Regional Engagement:

  • Strategically develop and manage, in coordination with the Sr. Director, programs across the U.S. for Baylor women so that they align with Advancement directives. This includes working with Regional Engagement, Regional Development Officers, and Alumni Engagement.
  • Manage established BUWC across the United States: large-scale events a few times a year as well as develop new ways to enhance and add programs.
  • Build positive, strong relationships with volunteers. 

Provide meaningful on-campus Women's Engagement:

  • Direct, facilitate, and coordinate with network team and campus partners, as needed, through a variety of events to enhance engagement for women on the Waco campus. 

Partner to increase donor and volunteer support:

  • Collaborate with University Advancement team members to inspire trust, encourage creative thinking, and cooperate with other Baylor staff and volunteers to significantly increase private gifts and/or volunteer support for Baylor. 

Additionally:

  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission.
  • Ability to comply with University policies.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
