Senior Research Associate / Scientist

W2 Contract-to-Hire

Location: San Carlos, CA - Onsite Role

Job Summary:

You will help drive the discovery of therapeutic programs within our pipeline while performing bench work and helping develop disease-relevant cell and tissue-based assays.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Keep up to date with technology, troubleshooting assays, and setting up new assays to add to our toolkit
• Perform ELISAs, western blot, qPCR, and flow cytometry.
• Use analytical skills and effectively influence positive outcomes.
• Take initiative, work independently, and make sound judgments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Scientist Level: Ph.D. in biological sciences or related discipline with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Biotech or Pharma.
• SRA Level: degree in biological sciences or related discipline and 5 years of experience in Biotech or Pharma
• Hands-on experience with cell-based assays, ELISAs, western blot, qPCR, and flow cytometry
• Experience related to single-cell characterization techniques
• Strong understanding of antibodies and immunotherapy
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Able to work independently and as a leader in the lab; help train and mentor junior researchers.

Preferred Skills:

• Industry experience working on therapeutic antibody characterization, ADCs, or working in Cancer Cell Biology
• Experience contributing to IND applications within cell biology or in vitro pharmacology
• Experience working on therapies related to chronic inflammation or pulmonary fibrosis
• Experience working in a start-up; able to shift focus with changing priorities in the lab
