Our client is seeking CAS Assessors able to travel in an assigned region to conduct CAS (Coordinated Assessment System) Assessments of IDD/DD persons.

Coverage areas currently needed:

Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Westchester

PAY & Benefits:

• $26.00 per hour / 40 hour work week

RESPONSIBILITIES OF CAS ASSESSOR

• Schedule and coordinate the assessment process with individuals, families and providers in the home and/or community using a person-centered approach
• Conduct the assessment at a location and time which is most convenient for the individual
• Candidates must possess at least one year experience working with persons with developmental disabilities including intellectual disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism spectrum disorders and other neurological impairments.
• Utilize an in-person, person-centered interview process as part of the assessment process
• Conduct additional interviews with knowledgeable person(s) and utilize multiple sources including records to verify information and coding prior to finalizing the assessment
• Complete all assessments utilizing the provided software
• Work from home when not conducting assessments

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have at least 1 year post degree experience working with adult DD/IDD persons
• Must possess BA/BS in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work and/or related field.
• Must be willing to travel throughout the assigned region.
• Must be willing to and able to accommodate varying schedules and hours including evenings and weekends.
• Strong analytical skills; detail and solution oriented; ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to use spreadsheet or database software; Web-based applications, Email, Microsoft Word.
• Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License or NYS ID card.
• Must reside in New York State.
