Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fleet Technician to join our team. The Fleet Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of our fleet of vehicles, including trucks, vans, and specialized equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a CDL Class A license.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues, such as engine, transmission, and brake problems, in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Perform electrical system diagnostics and repairs, including troubleshooting wiring issues and replacing faulty components.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts inventory and service history.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards in all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Assist with the installation and calibration of vehicle accessories and aftermarket components as needed.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules and prioritize repairs based on operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical training program in automotive or diesel mechanics preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in fleet maintenance or a similar role, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record; ability to operate and drive various types of fleet vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulic systems, and other vehicle components.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and
