Vista Innovative Solutions (VIS) is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to provide support for the Joint Munitions Command (JMC) personnel to provide the technical knowledge needed to implement and support sustainable and scalable analytics. Significant work with SQL will be used to set up a data collection structure to make information usable to the support customer. Duties and Responsibilities:Discern Analytics 2.0 (DA2) program implementation using SQL experience to create a framework for a data collection structure from surveys and automation tools (R2B, SCOUT) that can be used within the government’s data environment. Support would involve advanced data cleaning abilities to derive advanced analytics and enhance the user experience across the G-1 toolset (SharePoint, R2B, SCOUT, data communication). Use advanced data cleaning to make data usable for end-users. Participate in strategic planning to provide technical solutions to support the customers business solutions. Assess and evaluate vulnerabilities. Review and analyze data structure for anomalies. Document processes, work collaboratively with G-1 to personnel and offer technical solutions to meet their requirements. Performs other duties as assigned or required. Knowledge and SkillsUnderstanding and experience implementing Discern Analytics 2.0 (DA2). Data transformation and analytics will require SQL experience. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management. Knowledge in Microsoft 365 applications including SharePoint, PowerApps, PowerBI visualizations, and data collection through forms and lists. Produces output and sustains operation. Research new data sources and analytical tools. Develops appropriate methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data products. Develops useful and insightful information from a variety of data sources. Delivers data products in report/presentation format, or verbally, to management and/or customer specifications and timelines. Advanced data cleaning experience is a crucial skill in data management and analysis. It involves identifying and correcting inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and redundancies in data to ensure it is reliable and useful for analysis. Key abilities may include data exploration, handling anomalies, filtering data, merging datasets and fixing structural errors. Extensive knowledge of information technology methods and information protection techniques and procedures. Demonstrate problem solving, critical thinking and logical structuring skills. Strategic thinker with strong communication skills. Must be a self-starter, capable of working with minimal direction and as part of a team. Knowledge of project management principles and methods sufficient to balance workload and set priorities. QualificationsMust be able to obtain Secret clearance. Bachelor’s Degree or currently working in related field of study (including any of the following but not limited to): Application Development, Database Administration, or Information Systems Management. CompTIA Security is required prior to the start of work on the contract. Support will be provided under the IAT II Level. Recommended certifications in related field (including any of the following but not limited to): SQL, Security , Network , CISSP, and\or CCNA Security Strong awareness of Microsoft 365 PowerApps and PowerBI to automate flows and business processes for the government.
