Job Type : Full Time / W2

Pay Range : $17.00 / hr on W2

Job Description :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Authorization Specialist I to join our Shared Services team at Centene. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and managing claim forms, ensuring accurate data entry, and meeting performance standards.

• Data Entry : Process claim forms submitted via fax, convert them into electronic format, and input relevant information into the database.
• Member Data : Enter member data into the database accurately and promptly.
• Claim Processing : Handle a high volume of claims, processing 15,000 - 20,000 claims per day. Each claim upload takes approximately 30 - 60 seconds.
• Team Contribution : Work collaboratively with the team to achieve daily and monthly processing goals.

Required Skills / Experience :

• Data Entry Proficiency : Ability to type efficiently and accurately for extended periods (8 hours per day).
• Medical Background : Experience in a medical or healthcare setting is preferred.

Preferred Skills / Experience :

• Vendor Requirements : Vendors must ensure a typing test is completed, and results are included at the top of the resume.
• Medical Background : Experience or knowledge in medical data processing or authorization.

Education Requirements :

Required : High School Diploma or GED

Education Preferred :

Additional Education : Any relevant additional education or certifications.

Software Skills Required :

Data Entry Software : Proficiency in data entry systems. No coding required.
