Position Title: Plant Worker

Duration: 3 Months Contract to Hire

Pay Range: $18/hr on W2

Overview: As a Plant Worker, you will play a crucial role in our operations by ensuring the safe unloading of waste from vehicles, proper staging for processing, and adherence to established safety and operational protocols. You will work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and efficiency are paramount.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Unload waste from incoming vehicles, segregating non-autoclavable waste for appropriate disposal.
• Stage waste on conveyor systems or stack for scanning and processing in the Biotrack system.
• Scan waste into the Biotrack system to maintain accurate records.
• Load autoclave bins or incinerator hopper with waste as per operational requirements.
• Place reusable containers on tub wash line for decontamination.
• Operate tub wash unit to ensure proper functioning, inspecting and stacking clean tubs for reuse.
• Utilize tub wash sprayer for oversized reusable tubs, ensuring operational efficiency.
• Decontaminate vehicles' cargo area, reload reusable tubs, and ensure cleanliness before vehicle release.
• Address immediate housekeeping issues such as spills, wet floors, and debris.
• Assist in various plant operations as directed by supervisors.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year related experience in a similar role preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully within a team environment.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with barcode scanning.
• Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and familiarity with OSHA Regulations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and move carts weighing up to 500 pounds.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and reach during the course of a shift.
• Ability to perform tasks in varying environmental conditions (e.g., heat, cold, humidity).

Desired Skills (not required but advantageous):

• Experience operating powered industrial trucks (e.g., forklift) a plus.
