Job Title: Stockroom Clerk

Location: Weston , MA

Duration: 5 Months with possibility of extension

Shift - 7 am - 3 pm

Position Description

Supports the daily operations of Highway Divisions Central Warehouse in Weston.

Receives unpacks and examines incoming goods to verify quality quantity and condition of goods for conformance to specifications including counting and sorting the incoming items.

Stores goods supplies and equipment in appropriate and assigned stockroom location and relocates goods and materials to other locations as needed.

Picks and issues supplies and materials to users in accordance with established procedures.

Maintains records of items received and distributed including description quantity and other identifying information in accordance with established procedures and fields in MassDOTs automated inventory management system.

Works closely with Warehouse and District personnel suppliers and vendors in order to exchange information and resolve issues.

Participates in annual physical inventory of supplies and equipment to determine actual amounts on hand to review and/or reconcile stock records and to detect damage or variances in quantities.

Reviews receiving slips invoices purchase orders and other records to determine availability of goods and to ensure accuracy of information.

Performs related duties such as loading and unloading items to and from trucks maintaining general appearance of the warehouse in a clean and organized state make sure grounds are neat and litter free and trash is emptied.

Delivers inventory when required due to operational needs.
