Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, A law firm is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join their team in Lawrence, KS. The successful candidate will represent clients, collaborate with the legal team to ensure the highest standard of legal service, and supervise non-attorney staff to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations. The primary focus will be managing personal injury caseloads through the pre-litigation claim process, with potential involvement in litigation. Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in personal injury cases, handling pre-litigation and litigation processes.Communicate effectively and maintain positive relationships with clients.Collaborate with the legal team to ensure high standards of legal service.Provide direction and supervision to non-attorney staff, ensuring compliance with legal standards and regulations.Manage personal injury caseloads through the pre-litigation claim process.Draft and review legal documents including correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements.Ensure the accuracy and compliance of all prepared documents.Interact and negotiate with insurance companies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.Regulatory Compliance:Comply with all legal standards and regulations. Requirements:Active Bar license in Kansas (required).Active Bar license in Missouri (desired).1 years of experience in personal injury law claims, workers’ compensation, disability, or other forms of civil litigation.Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment.Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.Committed to providing superb, responsive, and compassionate client service.Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.) and tech-savvy.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications:Active Bar license in Kansas (required).Active Bar license in Missouri (preferred). Skills:Strong legal research and writing skills.Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
