The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience of California and federal wage and hour laws, including overtime and meal and rest periods. The candidate must possess excellent writing, communication, and follow-through skills, and be able to interface professionally and competently with clients. Duties:Handle defense of wage and hour litigation, including class actions.Prepare and respond to written discovery in wage and hour litigation with limited supervision and oversight.Conduct depositions and handle motion practice involving discovery issues.Develop and execute discovery plans.Draft and oppose motions for class certification in wage and hour matters.Interface with clients to provide legal and strategic advice in wage and hour litigation.Maintain effective communication and follow-through with clients and team members.Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and development. Requirements:4 years of experience handling defense of wage and hour litigation, preferably class actions.Knowledge and experience of California and federal wage and hour laws, including overtime and meal and rest periods.Experience preparing and responding to written discovery in wage and hour litigation.Deposition experience and motion experience involving discovery issues.Experience developing and executing discovery plans.Ability to interface professionally and competently with clients.Excellent references. Education:JD from an accredited law school. Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of California.
