Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, A law firm in Fresno, CA, is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Criminal Defense Attorney to join their team. Reporting to the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney, the candidate will manage a caseload, provide legal representation to clients, and collaborate with the Criminal Defense Team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for recent law school graduates or attorneys with limited experience to gain valuable experience in criminal defense law. Key Duties:Manage a caseload of criminal defense cases and provide legal representation to clients.Advise clients on their legal rights and draw up legal documents related to their cases.Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and advise them on best legal strategies.Manage court appearances, trials, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and conducting legal research.Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents.Provide legal analysis to clients to determine potential case benefits.Accrue additional evidence to support clients' cases or arguments against the prosecution's charges.Prepare clients for depositions, determine essential case strategy goals, and gather information from witnesses and experts.Demonstrated interest in Criminal Defense law from law school clinics, volunteer work, or internship experience. Requirements:Juris Doctorate degree.Active Bar admission (law graduates awaiting admission will also be considered).Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred.Interpersonal skills of the highest caliber.Record of moving legal cases forward and ability to manage a caseload.Experience with Case Management Software is preferred. Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Active Bar admission. Skills:Strong legal research and writing abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.Proficiency in Case Management Software is preferred.Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
