Job Overview:The Entry Level Immigration Attorney will report to the Managing Immigration Attorney and will be responsible for managing a caseload, representing clients in removal proceedings, preparing immigration applications, and providing strategic solutions to clients. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in immigration law. Duties:Explain immigration concepts and provide strategic solutionsRepresent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration AppealsManage caseload efficientlyConduct intake interviews with detained individuals at centersPrepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitionsReview immigration applications/packets and make necessary adjustmentsCollaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration lawConduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clientsDevelop strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimonyProvide legal analysis to determine case benefitsPrepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases Requirements:Juris Doctorate degreeActive Bar admission (law graduates awaiting admission will also be considered)Demonstrated interest in Immigration law from Law School clinics or volunteer work or internshipDemonstrated interest in Immigration law from Law School clinics or volunteer work or internshipBilingual proficiency preferred (Spanish)Strong interpersonal skillsExperience with Case Management Software preferred Certifications:Active Bar admission Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Case Management Software Benefits:The firm offers a 401(k) plan.
