Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, Job Overview: A law firm in Costa Mesa, CA, is seeking a motivated Junior to Mid-Level Real Estate Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial or real estate finance, with a strong background in real estate secured loans, ABL facilities, subscription facilities, mezzanine loans, project finance, and general dirt real estate transactions. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse and complex real estate matters in a collaborative environment.Duties:Conducting legal research and drafting legal memoranda related to real estate finance transactions.Assisting in negotiating and drafting transactional documents, including purchase agreements, leases, financing documents, and development agreements.Performing due diligence reviews for real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions.Participating in client meetings and conference calls and maintaining communication with clients regarding transactional matters.Supporting senior attorneys in managing and overseeing real estate transactions from inception to closing.Providing general legal support and advice on real estate development projects, joint ventures, entitlements, and land use matters.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar of California (active and in good standing).2-5 years of relevant experience in real estate law, focusing on real estate finance transactions preferred.Strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills.Experience with due diligence procedures and drafting transactional documents.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred Skills:Familiarity with real estate finance structures and related legal issues.Knowledge of local zoning regulations, land use planning, and entitlement processes.Experience with entity formation, joint ventures, and complex real estate development projects.Proficiency in legal research tools and software (Westlaw, LexisNexis, etc.).Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.Certifications (Preferred):Certification in Real Estate Law from a recognized institution or association. The Orange County law practice is a recently opened office. There are twenty-four adept lawyers staffed at the legal practice. Areas of concentration consist of intellectual property, technology transactions, corporate, and litigation services. Significant practice disciplines served include in-bound Asian work and venture-funded corporate matters. A key practice industry served is technology.
