The ideal candidate will have exposure to all aspects of commercial litigation, general equity matters, and probate litigation, and will also gain exposure to the firm's expanding cannabis law practice. A strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. Job Duties:Litigate business, commercial, general equity, estate, and guardianship matters.Gain exposure to the firm’s expanding cannabis law practice.Draft and respond to initial pleadings and discovery requests.Draft and argue motions in court.Conduct and participate in depositions.Manage and prepare cases for trial.Perform legal research and write legal documents, including briefs and memoranda.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.Maintain and organize case files efficiently. Requirements:Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey.Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.Licensed in good standing to practice law in both NJ and NY.Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Strong legal research and creative writing skills.Excellent organizational skills for efficient management of responsibilities. Education:Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications:Licensed to practice law in New Jersey (required).Licensed to practice law in New York (preferred). Skills:Strong research and writing skills.Excellent academic record.Experience drafting and responding to pleadings and discovery.Experience drafting and arguing motions.Deposition experience.Trial experience is a plus.Excellent organizational and time management skills.
