Job Grade: JG1PCP Level: 4Shift: 1st ShiftEssential FunctionsReporting to the Planned Maintenance (PM) Leader, this role will be responsible for maintaining equipment through performing regular PM tasks and other maintenance activities as required according to the equipment maintenance plan. Will assist manufacturing unit team with production maintenance issues as necessary and mentor the unit technical staff in best methods of troubleshooting and operational repair techniques. This role must be willing to adjust work schedule as needed to perform essential PM activities and maximize equipment availability. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.
Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Maintain equipment by performing PM activities, ensuring activities are completed on-time and executed according to the plan.
  • Work closely with Maintenance Planner to ensure maintenance tasks are well documented.
  • Conduct regular maintenance audits of equipment, identifying potential continuous improvement opportunities to improve PM program effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership for TPM activities as assigned. Support the organization and preparation of spare parts and other applicable materials required to complete maintenance tasks for planned maintenance periods and equipment rebuild program.
  • Required to work during plant shut down periods to perform maintenance activities.
  • Provide support to the manufacturing unit technical teams as required to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Assist with technical development and training opportunities for unit technical staff on all shifts.
  • Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

  • Manage PM activities through designated area on plan and within budget
  • Achieve 100% of PM compliance as per targeted objectives
Qualifications And RequirementsMinimum Education:This Position Has The Following Minimum Educational Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED: Required
  • Associates Degree – Preferred Mechanical or other related technical field
Minimum Experience
  • 3 years’ experience in manufacturing preferred
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities (KSA’s)
