Overall Purpose: The Dental Assistant will work alongside the dentist and other dental professionals to provide quality oral healthcare to patients. The Dental Assistant will perform a variety of tasks to support the dental team and ensure that the clinic runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing instruments, providing suction, and taking x-rays.
• Prepare patients for dental procedures by seating them, providing dental bibs, and explaining the procedure.
• Keep the treatment area clean and well-stocked by sterilizing instruments, preparing materials, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide post-operative instructions.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish)
