Job Title: GIS Analyst

Duration: 18 months contract

Pay Target: $60/hour, W2

Top 3-4 Technical Skills:

• Proficient in the use of Esri's suite of mobile, desktop, web, and server-based ArcGIS products, such as ArcGIS Pro, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, and Field Maps.
• Experience using enterprise databases and ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as record engineering drawings to independently solve problems and perform analyses.
• Experience with at least one relational database management system and writing SQL queries and Python scripts.

Project Overview:

The GIS Analyst will manage data related to underground utilities, waterways, equipment, and other assets. The role includes supporting project management teams by developing workload estimates, authoring RFPs, and participating in the development of the GIS for underground utilities and other assets.

Description:

GIS Analyst to support the development and sustainment of projects. Our department supports a wide range of project types including Attractions, Maintenance, Foods, Merchandise, and Entertainment. Projects range from minor renovations to new facilities. You will also support immediate response efforts with reactionary projects. You will support the development and authoring of requests for proposals (RFPs) and develop workload estimates with critical path schedule dates to support our project management team. * In this collaborative role, you will participate in the development of the GIS for underground utilities and other assets by reviewing inaccuracies, researching Record Documents, and editing features in the Enterprise Portal. * Perform field work to investigate and validate infrastructure location and condition. * Work with stakeholders to develop and maintain mobile and web-based GIS resources to streamline communication and make existing practices more efficient (e.g., Field Maps, Experience Builder, Sites, Dashboards, etc.). * Maintain GIS infrastructure including software upgrades, client software installation and configuration, map production, spatial analyses, and data updates. * Maintain knowledge and expertise in the use of Esri GIS products. * Train and assist non-technical staff in the use of GIS software and customizations. * Develop scopes of work and RFPs (Request for Proposals) for outside consulting resources. * Provide guidance and concise decision matrices to support executive decisions. * Partner with internal teams to develop, maintain, communicate, and enforce Walt Disney Company design guidelines, standards, master specifications, and details.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using enterprise databases and ArcGIS Enterprise * Experience with at least one relational database management system and writing SQL queries and Python scripts * Experience with underground utility systems (Esri Utility Networks)

Responsibilities

Ecommerce distribution analyst / specialist role. Support internal and external partners as the "on the ground" resource representing the client in implementing and expanding e-Commerce distribution with an existing third party logistics provider.

Basic Qualifications

• Solid understanding of GIS fundamentals and concepts, including asset data management and editing. * Proficient in the use of Esri's suite of mobile, desktop, web, and server-based ArcGIS products, such as ArcGIS Pro, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, and Field Maps. * Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as record engineering drawings to independently solve problems and perform analyses. * Effective communication skills (verbal and written) with clients, consultants, contractors, stakeholders, and management. * You must be a self-starting collaborator to provide experience to bring concepts into physical and digital reality.
