Our client, a financial services company in Downers Grove, IL is looking for an HR Coordinator to join their growing team. The ideal candidate has fluency with the onboarding process for new hires including I-9 forms, employee data changes, and timely communication with all parties. This role is a temporary role with the potential to turn into a permanent role. This role has the opportunity for a hybrid schedule after training.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the onboarding process from offer acceptance to the first day and beyond, ensuring timely communication with candidates, contractors, and hiring managers.
  • Complete I-9 forms, verify I-9 documentation, and maintain I-9 files. Coordinate and execute on/off-boarding activities.
  • Manage employee data changes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Serve as point of contact for inquiries, support, and troubleshooting. Generate regular and ad-hoc reports using system to provide insights into HR metrics and trends.
  • Manage employee records, including but not limited to maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Assist with HR-related events, programs, and initiatives. Provide administrative support to the HR team in various areas, including benefits administration, employee relations, recruiting, and training programs.
  • Respond to inquiries from employees related to benefits, timesheets, employment policies, and payroll.
  • Assist with planned internal audits, including compliance with background checks, I-9s, training, and other employment documents.
  • Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects as assigned related to the smooth and effective operations of HR.
Qualifications
  • 2 years' experience working in HR, ideally a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources preferred.
  • High proficiency in Human Capital Management (HCM) software
  • Proficient in analyzing and interpreting background checks and completing I-9s and eVerify.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Detailed oriented and easily adaptable. Able to learn quickly.
  • Ability to assess and make recommendations for process improvement.
  • Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
