Beacon Hill has partnered with an elite Chicago based law firm to find a dynamic HR Manager to support their dedicated team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced HR professional to work in the heart of River North.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of HR including benefits, recruitment, compensation, training, employee relations, performance management and more
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Coordinate benefits administration and non-benefit related insurance renewals.
- Lead and mentor HR team members (Benefits Coordinator and HR Assistant).
- Conduct staff reviews and contribute to succession planning.
- Handle secretarial meetings and ensure operational support needs are met.
- Assist with executive committee and partnership-related tasks.
- Review vendor contracts and manage the annual budget for GL accounts.
- Participate in ALA Benefits & Compensation Survey annually.
- Develop and maintain employee handbooks for non-exempt and exempt employees.
Job Qualifications:- 10 years of experience in a generalized HR role.
- Preferably from a legal or professional services firm background.
- Strong managerial experience with a broad HR skill set.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to handle varied HR responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to attend monthly executive committee meetings.
- Ability to work onsite 4 days a week
