Senior Software Engineer (Java, AWS)

Duration: 18 months contract

Pay: $85/hour

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain a custom content management platform from scratch, with a focus on video and imaging graphics.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
3. Assist the FTE team in system design architecture and provide guidance on best practices.
4. Ensure high-quality code through code reviews, testing, and documentation.
5. Stay updated on industry trends and technologies, particularly in AWS, Java, Kubernetes, and cloud-native development.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. Extensive experience in building large enterprise systems from ideation to launch.
3. Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
4. Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native development.
5. Knowledge of Python scripting is a plus.
6. Familiarity with content management systems and video/image processing tools, such as FFmpeg.
7. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Additional Notes:

• Candidates with experience in digital ad platforms on the streaming side or financial applications are encouraged to apply.
• Remote work is possible for candidates located in SF, NY, or Seattle, with onsite presence preferred for LA-based candidates.
• Longevity and experience in building enterprise systems from start to finish will be highly valued.
