Beacon Veterinary Specialists is a well-established veterinary emergency specialty practice located in the Bay Area. We are searching for a full-time Technician Assistant to join our team in Fremont, CA!

We’re offering a competitive base hourly rate of $18 - 22/hr with an additional $5.10/hr as a shift differential . Compensation is based on experience, along with training/career growth potential and comprehensive benefits.

We currently have two scheduling options:

Schedule 1: The schedule for this position is a training schedule of Sunday - Wednesday from 3:00 pm - 1:30 am for 6 - 8 weeks. Upon the successful completion of training, the regular schedule will be Sunday - Wednesday from 7:00 pm - 5:30 am.

Schedule 2: The schedule for this position is a training schedule of Wednesday - Saturday from 3:00 pm - 1:30 am for 6 - 8 weeks. Upon the successful completion of training, the regular schedule will be Wednesday - Saturday from 7:00 pm - 5:30 am.

Your primary responsibilities:

• Maintain exam rooms: stock, and turn over exam rooms between cases

• Adhering to hospital standards that keep pets safe, and the treatment areas, and exam rooms clean and organized

• Support Client Services Representatives: collect payments, transfer calls, file records & other office-based tasks (scanning exam forms, estimates)

• Assist in technician-assigned roles

• Assisting the Technicians and Registered Veterinary Technicians in daily tasks

• Set up for minor procedures

• Assist in restraint for minor procedures and exams

• Maintenance of laundry and surgical instruments

• Surgery clean up

• Ability to properly restrain animals and lift up to 40 pounds
