Here’s your chance, are you ready to make a difference?The role of the Senior Field Technician is to attend site visits/conduct testing and provide reports of the fieldwork completed with full understanding of the project needs and goals. The Field Technician will work under the guidance of, and collaboration, with Senior Project Manager(s)/and or Project Managers to ensure that goals, or objectives, of the project are accomplished within designated timeframe and proposed cost all while practicing impeccable client service.
The Senior Field Technician is responsible for identifying, planning, directing, and overseeing all aspects of the field work, visual inspection, of
the building assessment projects and standards.
This role will be primarily responsible for responding to the Project Manager requests regarding new projects, conducting or overseeing existing building projects to determine solutions to address the client’s requests. The Senior Field Technician shall be proficient in performing project documents such as, oversight and development of construction documents including architectural drawings, specifications and bid documents.
The Senior Field Technician be able to perform fieldwork on ten plus (10 ) projects at the same time.
YOUR IMPACT
  • Conduct onsite investigations, QA visits, and field review.
  • Oversee preparation of reports of findings to Project Manager. Evaluate future risks and provide recommended solutions.
  • Provide feasibility review for development of project scope of work. (assessment, construction documents, forensic testing, etc.)
  • Attending OAC meetings as needed and site visits.
  • Coordinate with field technicians throughout construction.
  • Work in collaboration with Project Coordinators throughout closeout practices.
  • Conduct and oversee testing, such as but not limited to, ASTM roof flood testing standards, Façade assessment and testing such as (E1105, E1186, E779, AAMA 501.2, etc.), re-skinning of building, forensic investigations documentation and building commissioning.
Here’s What You’ll Need
  • 4-7 years of building enclosure industry field experience or similar experience.
  • 4-7 years of successful experience documenting field work/testing
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of building enclosure codes and industry standards.
  • Customer Service experience (internal / external).
  • Experience with Bluebeam and Microsoft Suites.
Here’s How You’ll Stand Out
  • IIBEC Certifications preferred. (RRO, REWO)
  • Strong knowledge of the industry.
  • Practical understanding of building enclosure systems i.e. roofing, waterproofing, cladding, fenestration, and barriers.
  • Strong skills in technical and oral communication.
  • Basic understanding of projects budgets and limitations.
  • Ability to read and understand shop drawings and architectural drawings.
  • Ability to read and write project related specifications.
  • Ability to transfer redlines to design staff as needed.
  • Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop, plan and execute strategies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment juggling multiple projects and priorities.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of Project Managers, build partnerships and direct teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and Bluebeam.
The actual offered base salary for California locations will vary depending on factors such as individual qualifications, education, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, work location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role will be at or near the top half of the range provided, but the decision will be dependent on the factors of each individual case. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation in the form of discretionary bonuses in addition to base salary and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. The salary range for this position is below.$74,357.00 - $111,535.00
