A growing 144-bed behavioral health facility – Beaumont Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults, and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24-hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. Position Summary
The Nurse Manger is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance Improvement efforts, while providing supervision of House Supervisors, RNs, LPNs, and MHTs. This position will monitor staffing needs on assigned shifts. This position is responsible for assisting the CNO in evaluating, reviewing, designing, and implementing hospital training events with respect to all RN/LPN/MHT staff required training. Also provides, on as-needed basis, patient nursing assessments. Participates in Treatment Team meetings as needed. This position will oversee units 2D and 2E.

Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in nursing management; BSN preferred.
Experience: A minimum of one (5) years of experience progressive nursing leadership experience. Experience in staff education and education concepts, practices and procedures and 24-hour shift staffing experience.
Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, HCFA, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements. CPR certification upon employment and successful completion of training in Management of Assaultive Behavior (CPI) Crisis Prevention Intervention and Service Excellence Training within 14 days of employment.
