This position is funded, at least in part, by a federal grant, ESSER. Employment in this position will be expressly conditioned on the availability of full funding, through the federal grant, for the position. This funding is available for a limited time. When full funding for the position is no longer available, the position will be eliminated, as permitted by law.
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a comprehensive school-wide numeracy program which facilitates learning; for modeling of best practices lessons which use numeracy-based learning strategies; for coaching teachers in all curriculum areas on how to enhance students’ numeracy skills; for identifying staff development needs of the school and for providing staff development related to numeracy as part of the problem solving process; and for working with school and community groups, such as the Leadership Team, Lead Numeracy Team and learning communities, to help all students reach their highest potential.
