Overview:
Beaumont School seeks a part-time Music Teacher who is a dynamic music educator and who believes in individualizing education to maximize student learning. The successful candidate must seek to build a strong relationship with students, parents, faculty, and community. The candidate will be able to plan, implement, and evaluate a variety of general music, band, and chorus classes in addition to coordinating events, performing groups, and competition participation. This position requires an individual that excels independently as well as in a collaborative environment.

Summary:
The Music Teacher instills in each student an appreciation of the art of music as part of general culture. This role will teach the techniques of vocal and/or instrumental music expression and discover and develop the talents of students in the field of music.
Reports to: Principal
Status: Exempt, part-time, year-round
Responsible for teaching two, 90-minute blocks each day on a 2-day A/B cycle every other
day

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. General office environment. Work is primarily, but not exclusively, in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential or work hazards; however, there are sometimes stressful conditions. Working conditions will require working in front of a computer for several hours. Occasionally working outside, standard working days or hours is required. Frequent in-person meetings for individuals or groups, tele-meetings, and phone calls. Travel to prospect schools and external events. Variations in noise level will occur.
