PURPOSE:

As Manager of Regulatory Affairs, you will be responsible to lead end-to-end regulatory support across multiple prestige hair care brands for BQG ‘s international expansion program, to help create, grow and protect the business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

EU & UK Regulatory

• Review of existing and new formulas for EU & UK regulatory compliance. This entails ensuring compliance of raw materials, components and formulas working in collaboration with the Regulatory team in the EU, Safety Assessors and R&D teams.
• Ensure necessary product safety data requirements are available and communicated to internal project management group.
• Conduct preliminary regulatory review that meets global regulations on raw materials and finished formulations.
• Manage audits and projects in support of existing and new EU & UK regulatory requirements.
• Uses independent judgment when reviewing technical information based on established regulatory, safety and corporate practices.
• Reviews artwork for compliancy across various markets

PIF /Documentation Management

• Maintain registration information (license numbers, expiration dates, etc.).
• Responsible for liaising with outside suppliers to obtain technical data on raw materials with a vision to resolve roadblocks and ensure final formula safety and compliance.
• Responsible for maintaining BQG’s regulatory document IIN, including uploading approved formula submissions and required documents.
• Drive all efforts in support of completion of safety assessment
• Review and maintain Product Information Files and Cosmetic Safety Reports for compliance with EU and UK regulations.
• Interact with various groups within R&D to ensure sufficient supporting data is compiled to substantiate safety of raw materials and finished formulations
• Conduct literature searches as needed to support robust safety assessments
• Other responsibilities as assigned by manager

Post Market Support

• Remain current on regulatory changes and landscape, best practices, and cutting-edge developments in the industry.
• Develop new strategies to ensure ongoing compliance with existing products.
• Monitor market regulatory changes and assess impact on BQG ingredient labels and registration.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Managerial experience with the ability to develop and motivate a team of regulatory professionals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry or related scientific field. Advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years related exp within the cosmetic industry in Regulatory Affairs

Compensation

The salary range for this role considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the expected salary for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 USD.
