Provide leadership and coordination of all facility operations to include boarding, grooming, and training schedules, staffing, and software. Provide team management, policy development and implementation, handle client and staff concerns, and manage all company records. Manager will create a safe, clean, and happy environment for boarding dogs and cats and their pet parents and all employees. The ideal candidate will be a leader, self-starter, strong communicator, problem solver, and most importantly, be able to create a safe environment for the dogs and cats and employees.
JOB CRITERIA
EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Minimum of 5 years of management/supervisory experience.
· Requires leadership, independent judgement and creative thinking.
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
· Effective team building, strong leadership, and communication skills.
Be able to manage staffing and scheduling based upon multiple factors to include number of pets boarding, grooming, and training schedules
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and ability to learn boarding specific software programs.
· Provide a lead role in a team environment and prioritize resources and needs.
· Demonstrate a broad knowledge of communication vehicles such as social media, website, newsletter, etc.
· Ability to think independently and quickly troubleshoot changing situations.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
· Be physically able – you will be on your feet almost all of the time and the job requires lifting of up to 60 lbs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· 1-3 years of relevant experience as an animal caretaker, kennel assistant, veterinary assistant, dog walker, or pet sitter strongly preferred
· Animal Behavior or Psychology degree or similar coursework or certifications
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

2. Oversee continued adherence to operational policies and procedures.
3. Manage team schedules for boarding, grooming, and training.
4. Provide recommendations for improving operations and implementing changes.
5. Foster a positive and happy work environment and maintain positive morale.
6. Teach, train, and mentor employees on operational and customer service standards and ensure they are followed.
7. Coordinate all team members to execute scheduling, shift assignments, training, community involvement, PTO, and building relationships with all BNB Ranch team members.
8. Drive customer service, associate development, appearance upkeep, and safety and cleanliness compliance.
9. Consistently exercise sound professional judgement.
10. Be dependable, trustworthy, and show up for shifts on time.
11. Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
