Beehive Homes of Provo is looking to hire a part-time cook to prepare nutritious and tasty food for our wonderful residents. The majority of open shifts are three hour shifts from 4pm to 7pm. Some 7am to 2pm shifts may also be available from time to time. Applicant must be willing to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday). Other shifts may also be available from time to time.

We are a small and locally owned memory care facility focused on providing excellent care for our residents. Applicants must obtain a Utah Food Handlers permit before beginning to work.

Below is a description of responsibilities:

• Cook and prepare food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) according to dietician approved menu
• Be aware of all resident food allergies
• Follow recipe's from dietician approved menu and document all changes and menu substitutions inappropriate log
• Help serve food at meal times
• Rotate in fridge, freezer, and pantry
• Label all leftovers and use them before expiration date
• Take out garbage at end of shift
• Sweep and mop floors at end of shift
• Cooks will prepare food to meet special diets that include but are not limited to: vegetarian,vegan, low salt, sugar free, and any other diet either ordered by a physician or family
• Prepare and have made available snacks for all residents
• Wash all dishes used in food preparation and after meals
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment
• Take out garbage at end ofshift and sanitary when preparing food
• Keep fridge, freezer, and pantry cleaned and sanitary
• When needed, assist other staff with resident needs or other dining area duties
• Take all kitchen laundry to appropriate hamper in laundry room
