Beer Capitol in Sussex, WI now hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for repairs and maintenance of our pallet wrappers along with general maintenance of warehouse, facility and grounds.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains company assets in a quality fashion through a thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical, and operational controls associated with our pallet wrapper systems.
• Performs other maintenance repairs and duties in and around the facility as assigned by management.
• Works with vendors on warranty repairs and installation of all warehouse equipment.
• Checks in with the warehouse manager daily to discuss the projects for the day.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports for repaired equipment.
• Maintains and organizes all parts inventory.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required; Associate's Degree or Technical Degree in Mechanics or other related field preferred.
• At least 2-3 years of mechanical or other relevant experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used for pallet wrapper repairs. Additionally, knowledge of and experience with warehouse equipment repairs and maintenance is preferred.
• Electrical knowledge is required.
• Experience diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems and performing repairs is preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of lock-out-tag-out procedures.
• Knowledge, acquisition and ability to operate power, mechanical and hand tools is required. This may include diagnostic equipment, Acetylene, electric arc welders, etc.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-motivated
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and/or written communications including service specifications from manufacturers.
• Ability to operate all the necessary equipment in a safe and efficient manner is required. Including but not limited to: forklifts, scissor lifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Intermediate computer skills are required.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of Post-Offer Pre-Employment Physical Assessment

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis.

• Ability to crouch, reach, grasp and stoop.

• Ability to hold and utilize hand tools.

• Ability to be in awkward physical positions, temporarily.
