Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Director, IT Operations and Cybersecurity, this position will maintain the organization’s inventory, ordering and supplying necessary items, while maintaining accurate records of all procurements, equipment distributions, returned equipment receipt, and asset My tracking/management.
Essential Duties
· Maintains consistent stock of supply inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles.
· Establishes and maintains backup source for high-demand items.
· Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of recurring delivery.
· Provides inventory reports to the organizations Finance Department and Senior Director, IT Operations and Cybersecurity.
· Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors.
· Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
· Manages and maintains inventory tracking process; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or asset management/control sheet under the direction of the Finance Department and Senior Director, IT Operations and Cybersecurity.
· Conducts frequent spot, and partial, audits of physical inventory.
· Assists with periodic, and annual, physical inventory audits.
· Organizes equipment in storage locations, abiding by best practice safety standards.
· Manages equipment return process, tracking and coordination with HR department for ex-employees.
· Facilitates shipping activities related to distribution of IT equipment to necessary locations.
· Inspects, records, and prepares returned IT equipment, for redeployment by Service Technicians.
· Oversees and handles various office supplies management (ie, Breakroom supplies, etc.).
· Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
· Excellent communication skills with IT Department, Finance Department, and outside vendors.
· Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
· Proficient keyboarding skills.
· Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
· Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors.
· Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Education & Credentials
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Experience with computerized inventory systems required.
Travel Requirements (if applicable)
This position is primarily in the office at our Atlanta Headquarters.
Physical Requirements
This job operates primarily in an in-office environment with in-person interaction and meetings required. The position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers – including virtual meeting software and various communications applications and telephones. Bending, lifting, and manipulating objects up to 40 lbs. will be required, along with navigating equipment storage area to reach items both high and low. Prolonged sitting and ability to perform computer work for 8 hours a day in an office setting is required.
