Behavioral Health Training and Education Network is Hiring a Program Director Near Philadelphia, PA

BHTEN is comprised of a diverse, innovative, and multidisciplinary team who bring an array of experience as trainers and educators, behavioral health and human service providers, family members, persons with lived experiences, and community members. Since 1996, BHTEN has supported Philadelphia’s behavioral health system by planning, coordinating, and providing quality educational experiences. These educational experiences are geared to a wide range of audiences, including individuals and their family members, DBHIDS staff members, behavioral health service provider organizations, and other human services and community based organizations. The BHTEN Program Director oversees all BHTEN programming, provides supervision and operational support to the team, and ensures BHTEN's educational events serve the unique needs of the behavioral health workforce in Philadelphia.

Specific Responsibilities:

o Provide supervision and operational support to BHTEN staff including administrative oversight to develop the organizational culture with a focus on learning, growth, collaboration and service within BHTEN.

o Develop and manage BHTEN’s operational budget, including planning expenses, preparing simple contracts and invoices, coordinating purchase requisitions and following up with vendors and funders.

o Oversee all BHTEN course offerings and conference planning to ensure that learning experiences are relevant, culturally competent, trauma informed, and aligned with the DBHIDS Practice Guidelines, Social Determinants of Health, and Population Health frameworks.

o Engage in the development and implementation of a BHTEN strategic plan, including needs assessment, stakeholder engagement, resource mapping, developing organizational goals, implementing the plan and managing organizational performance.

o Establish partnerships with stakeholders in DBHIDS, the behavioral health provider network, and the community to align the work of BHTEN with emerging system and workforce needs.

o Utilize the DBHIDS Learning Hub, e-learning development, and other educational/media technologies as a strategy to expand capacity and support more efficient resource utilization.

o Plan, coordinate, develop and implement targeted training initiatives to address emerging system and workforce needs.

o Oversee the coordination, delivery, and tracking of Continuing Education Credits and corresponding activities to maintain accreditations.

o Provide technical assistance to various Behavioral Health System members.

o Plan and coordinate various internal and external system transformation stakeholder meetings with BHTEN staff, provider agencies, DBHIDS, community members, etc.

o Meet on a regular basis with the assigned individual from the DBHIDS’ Education and Training unit to discuss issues primarily related to emerging training needs, updating and coordinating current content and accreditation, and resource utilization.

o Other duties as assigned.
