Job Responsibilities
- Support the planning of technical approaches, resources, schedules, budgets and equipment required for the testing and evaluating of new systems, products and special devices.
- Utilizing expert knowledge and understanding of test engineering concepts and principles,
- Design test fixtures and equipment
- Complete specifications and procedures throughout the engineering development lifecycle.
- Openly contributes to the development of new theories and methods to enhance productivity and efficiency, solicits input, and optimizes solutions
- Adept at working with Systems Engineers to provide test insight into requirements development of communication systems
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance
- A Bachelor"s degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; OR
- Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
- Expert knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages
- Ability and willingness to help anticipate and shape business opportunities
- Outstanding communication skills for frequent contact with managers, project teams across the company and external customers and vendors
- Ability to develop and present high level system test plans and strategies
- Expert at creating test architectures for a system and providing detailed test plans/strategies for execution by testers
- Strong knowledge in developing verification criteria, requirement compliance strategies, plans and traceability matrices
- Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting and exceeding personal and team commitments
- Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Recognized as a subject matter expert (SME) in System test and as a test architect
