Bell Associates is Hiring an Account Manager Near Waukesha, WI

Position: Account Manager

Reporting To: Maintenance Branch Manager

Description: The Account Manager is responsible for building, managing, and growing mutually beneficial, profitable, long-term business relationships with clients. The Account Manager is the primary contact for clients and is therefore accountable for maximizing client satisfaction by providing the highest level of communication and service. The Account Manager is also directly accountable for identifying, proposing, and closing the sale of property enhancements.

The successful Account Manager is a self-motivated, goal-oriented individual who may be seeking advancement in their career. This is a full-time position that requires more hours during our regular summer season and a 40-hour work week in the off-season. Schedules will vary based upon workload requirements (i.e. snow storms or seasonal deadlines).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain long-term, loyal client relationships that result in high levels of client satisfaction and contract renewals each year.
  • Communicate at a very high level with production, management, sales, and office staff on a daily basis.
  • Proactively manage properties on-site by:
  • Conducting weekly property assessments
  • Communicating with on-site crew leaders
  • Maintaining continuous communication with property managers regarding site assessments and property enhancement needs
  • Communicate and facilitate a satisfactory resolution of any concerns or performance issues that may arise during the course of the account relationship with crew leaders and production staff.
  • Attend client and board meetings, as well as any trade show or community events as needed to promote sales.
  • Create all account renewals and yearly contracts.
  • Support administrative personnel in the collection of accounts receivable generated by your clientele.
  • Accountable for sales reporting on a weekly basis on property enhancements, upsells, and renewals.
  • Acts with the highest levels of integrity and ethics, as well as positively promoting the company mission and culture.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a passion for landscape required
  • 3 years of landscape industry account management experience required
  • Knowledge of horticultural practices and plant material, or a degree in a related field, is a plus
  • Professional demeanor and appearance a must
  • Strong organizational skills and a passion for detail required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn industry-specific software
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently
