We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.
This position is onsite in Fort Worth.
Computer Science / Electrical Engineer
We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to solve difficult problems. From tiltrotor technology to modular complex electronics systems, our engineers work across a wide portfolio of aircraft programs and functions, to bring vertical lift solutions to our customers. We have numerous opportunities available, including development of ground based and airborne system software, software validation and verification testing of flight critical and aircraft mission systems, and implementation of Modular Open System Architecture (MOSA) and Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) principles. What You Will Need To Be Successful
- A completed Bachelor’s degree or higher with a major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science required
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Available to work full time, onsite
- Familiarity with Systems Engineering processes, from requirements through verification.
- System integration experience, integrating complex systems, including sensors, components, complex electronic hardware, and software.
- Software / coding experience using C , C#, Matlab and other industry standard development environments.
- Experience with MOSA standards / processes: FACE, HOST, SOSA, RTOS, ARINC 661, ARINC 653
- Control system design and modeling using Simulink, and implementation on hardware.
- Knowledge and experience of the most rigorous industry standard verification and validation practices for flight critical software applications.
- Software verification test experience in high fidelity hardware-in-the-loop (HILS) environments using integrated flight dynamic modeling of air vehicle performance. Lab experience with mechanical and/or materials testing at a coupon or component level.
- Hands on club experience working with a team to design, build, and test a complex vehicle to specific requirements and specifications.
- Testing of electrical power or computing systems, environmental testing.
