Bell International Laboratories is Hiring an Analytical Chemist Near Paul, MN

The Analytical Laboratory Chemist is pivotal in conducting and managing analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with cGMP standards. This role supports the Quality Control Lab Manager in upholding the integrity and quality of the laboratory environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and validate analytical methods to ensure reliability and accuracy of test results.
  • Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory instruments, including HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and FTIR.
  • Conduct routine calibration and validation of laboratory instruments to maintain compliance with operational standards.
  • Prepare and analyze samples from raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products using both wet chemistry techniques and instrumental analysis.
  • Maintain meticulous laboratory records and notebooks, ensuring detailed documentation following regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to efficiently complete testing assignments within set timelines.
  • Monitor ongoing product quality to confirm adherence to established standards and specifications.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and global methodological standards such as USP, AOCS, and ASTM.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on analytical instruments to minimize downtime.
  • Implement safety protocols for handling chemicals, managing laboratory waste, and maintaining a clean lab environment.
  • Organize and manage laboratory inventory to ensure availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Mentor and train new laboratory personnel on testing procedures and instrument operations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in the use of standard laboratory equipment and familiar with advanced analytical techniques.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of cGMP practices, organic chemistry, and instrumental analytics (HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR).
