Job Summary: This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to retail customers, maintaining stock levels, and upkeeping an aesthetically pleasing workplace at Bell's General Store in Kalamazoo. This is a part time position that will work approximately 25 hours a week from March through October 15, 2024.

Essential Duties:

• Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons
• Maintains knowledge of store policies, discounts, promotions, etc
• Performs opening/closing duties
• Uses retail POS system and accurately tenders transactions
• Ensures all retail items are stocked and rotated
• Upholds visual presentation throughout the store through cleaning and implementation of store displays
• Supports online store fulfillment by picking, packing, and shipping online orders
• Other duties as assigned

Education/ Experience/Skills:

• Previous friendly and welcoming customer service
• Prior experience with tendering money transactions
• Ability to multitask
• Willingness and initiative to help out other employees with customers and service needs
• Takes direction easily from co-workers and leaders/managers to deliver best customer experience
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 56.5 lbs. and carry objects of this weight up to 100 feet.

• Ability to push/pull weights up to 50 lbs. and maintain the grip strength required to carry objects including buckets and cases.
• Must also show fine motor dexterity.
• Demonstrate their ability to climb stairs, stoop, kneel, twist, squat and reach overhead.
• The position requires frequent, constant standing and walking.

Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Bell’s and New Belgium's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.

Starting Salary Range: $21.00
