The Mechanical Designer will provide mechanical design and engineering support for aircraft completions or parts manufacturing.
What you'll be doing as a Mechanical Designer
With guidance, design new products, make improvements to existing products or create detailed, assembly and installation drawings from rough sketches, hand drawings or previous CAD program drawings containing overall dimensions and basic design of parts to be drawn for the development of systems, parts of STC kits and customized completions.May lead minor projects and work on minor/major projects.Revise installation instructions of previously established kits.Make ECOs/drawing revisions from ECRs and other requests accurately, neatly and timely.Follow established technical specifications to prepare drawings and assist in design drafting.Assist in researching product support questions.Be familiar with the standard concepts, practices, and procedures within drafting, mechanical and aeronautical design.Maintain effective working relationships with and research personnel (Customizing, Mfg., QC, etc.).Work under general supervision, relying on experience and judgment and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Qualifications
What you need to be successful
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Associate's degree in Drafting and Design with mechanical concentration or equivalent related work experience.
- Minimum of 0-2 years of mechanical / engineering experience or equivalent.
- Working knowledge with Inventor 3D, experience with Auto CAD and Microsoft Suite.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in aviation/rotorcraft experience
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods throughout the day.
- Ability to use a computer, including keyboard, mouse and standard office equipment.
- Able to climb in and on aircraft as required.
