**Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. The DSP will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs. This role requires a strong commitment to assisting people with daily activities, promoting independence, and fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. **Duties:** - Assist individuals with daily living skills, such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration. - Support individuals with transportation, including driving and escorting. - Provide companionship and social interaction to help individuals build relationships and engage in meaningful activities. - Assist individuals with long-term care needs, including lifting and transferring. - Promote independence and self-advocacy by encouraging individuals to take charge of their daily activities. - Collaborate with social workers to develop and implement individualized plans that meet the unique needs of each person. - Document daily activities, progress, and any challenges or concerns that may arise. - Maintain a safe and healthy environment by adhering to safety protocols and reporting any hazards or concerns to the appropriate authorities. **Experience:** - Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs is highly desirable. - Ability to lift, bend, and transfer individuals as needed. - Experience with medication administration and meal preparation is also an asset. - A strong commitment to the values of social work and the importance of providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate respectfully with colleagues, family members, and other stakeholders. **Skills:** - Ability to drive and transport individuals as needed. - Experience with heavy lifting and transferring individuals. - Strong care and support skills, including meal preparation and medication administration. - Experience with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities. - Familiarity with long-term care and the needs of individuals with disabilities. - Strong social work skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
