POSITION PURPOSE :
The position of Substitute Bus Driver is responsible for operating a school bus and other vehicles and perform associated and operational duties in transporting students.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Positions in this class typically require : stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Medium Work : Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
May work outdoors in inclement weather. May require physical mobility to move through a school campus, including up and down stairs and inside and outside.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT :
This is a general posting for one or more Substitute Bus Driver positions. Hours for substitute drivers will depend upon availability of work.
2023-24 Transportation Personnel salary classification range $23.85 / hour to $36.90 / hour ($23.85 per hour during training, $31.
05 per hour during probation & $34.28 per hour after 90 work day probation) based on negotiated collective bargaining agreement.
Substitute school bus drivers / employees are asked to be available at least 3 shifts per week.
Please note : Substitute Bus Drivers are NOT eligible for health benefits.
