Bellingham Retina Specialists is seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess knowledge in ophthalmology and medical office procedures.
Duties may include but not limited to:
- Perform preliminary patient work-up, including documenting medical history and chief complaint
- Conduct diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, photography, ocular scanning and tonometry
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Handle front desk duties including scheduling appointments
- Assist with minor procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients
Qualifications:
- Experience in ophthalmology or optical field preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician is a plus
