Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Plant Manager to oversee our metal finishing/electroplating operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing plant performance.
Duties:
- Overlook production for entire plant.
- Responding to customer job status inquiries.
- Scheduling of machine operation per production demand.
- Scheduling preventative machine and building maintenance.
- Ensure area and machines are maintained properly.
- Maintain and analyze production records, job documentation, surface area, etc., to maximize plating efficiencies.
- Schedule tank maintenance as needed to ensure maximum chemical efficiencies.
-Maintain auxiliary equipment as needed (plating bath filters, heat exchangers, chemical feed controllers, probes, temperature controllers, etc.)
-Communicate with laboratory for chemical addition recommendation.
-Communicate with Quality Assurance Director per ISO needs and directives.
-Ensure department follows all environmental and safety rules.
-Attend management meetings.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of High School completion or GED.
- Minimum 5 years experience withing the metal finishing/electroplating industry.
- Must have previous experience with various types of plating.
- CEF designation is desirable.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills. Emphasis on organization, self-motivation, chemical handling and safety in prior experience will be highly factored.
- Computer literate.
-Ability to trouble shoot mechanically and chemically.
-Ability to maneuver a forklift and follow safe driving practices.
-Ability to follow and understand written instructions.
-Must have excellent communication skills and speak, read, and write well in English.
-Must be flexible regarding working hours dependent on production demand.
-Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
This position offers competitive compensation.
